As many as 172 industrial enterprises based in Mogilev Region (78.2% of their total number) increased their production volumes in January-November 2007, Interfax learnt from the economy committee of the regional administration.

According to the source, the output of 192 out of 315 most essential goods has grown in Mogilev Region.

In particular, chemical and petrochemical industry raised production volume by 11.8%, mechanical engineering and metal working - 20.1%, construction materials industry - 15.1%, timber and wood-working industry - 10.7%, food industry - 10.2%.

The output of fertilizing machines rose 2-fold, tractor trailers - by 44%, scrapers - by 75%, automobile cranes - by 27%, chemical fibres - by 20%, car tyres - by 30%, cement - by 10.7%, fat cheeses - by 36.6%, smoked sausages - by 26.6%.


Newly-launched goods accounted for 14.2% of the overall output, the source added.
