There are 23 projects running in Slavgorod District of Mogilev Region within the framework of the Co-operation for Rehabilitation Programme (CORE).
The total value of CORE projects in Slavgorod makes EUR 3.6 million, Assistant to the local CORE Project Co-ordinator Tatiana Korzhitskaya told Interfax.
The CORE programme has been working in Belarus since 2005 to relieve the situation in Chernobyl-affected districts of Stolin, Slavgorod, Bragin, and Chechersk. The programme comprises 30 projects. One of the projects provides for the development of small business in the affected area to economically rehabilitate the districts, improve living standards of local residents and encourage them to take an active part in the process.
