Lots of pilgrims arrive at the nunnery to honor the memory of St Onufriy the Great and St Martyr Nikolai II, the last Emperor of Russia.
The nunnery that re-opened in 1991 contains the Cathedral of St Nicholas the Wonder-Worker (with an icon of St Nicholas and parts of his relics) and the Church of St Onufriy the Great. Other relics kept in the nunnery include a portrait of Nikolai II and a copy of the icon that witnessed the sufferings of the last royal family of Russia shot in Yekaterinburg.
The nunnery also contains a stone brought from the house in Yekaterinburg where the royal family spent their last days of life.
