Epiphany Day at Polykovichi Krynitsa

January 19 Orthodox Christians celebrated Epiphany Day. By tradition, the day is associated with hopes for recovery, deliverance from physical and emotional illnesses. The day before and on Epiphany Day Mogilev citizens came to the church to take kreschenskaya water (Epiphany water), to participate in the night service, the morning liturgy, to take part in Epiphany bathing. Officers and students of Mogilev Internal Affairs Institute joined the Orthodox traditions. January 19 over 100 people bathed in Polykovichi Krynitsa, Mogilev district. They also prayed for the health of their relatives at the chapel of Great Martyr Paraskeva.
