A memorial to pilots perished in the battles with fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War may be built in Mogilev. The project was initiated by the famous TV presenter, People's artist of Russia, Leonid Yakubovich who partook in the XVIIth International Festival of animated films "Animayovka - 2014" summed up in the regional centre on September 21.
September 5 Mogilev held the television bridge “Mogilev-Moscow” at the City Marx Library. The event was to celebrate the ceremony of awarding war veterans living in Sokolinaya Gora area (Moscow) with the medals “70 years of Belarus’ liberation from fascist invaders”.
The information was provided by deputy chairman of Mogilev city executive committee Andrei Kuntsevich. According to the source, the project "Alley of Heroes" timed to the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from fascist invaders, was initiated by education, sports and tourism department of Mogilev city executive committee.
About 50 photos by BelTA photojournalist Oleg Foinitsky are exhibited at the Mogilev ethnography museum. The second personal exhibition of the photojournalist under the name “Between the past and the future” is timed to the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from fascist invaders.

Russian Youth Theatre Company "Vok-Alliance" will perform “Requiem" at the stage of Mogilev Regional Drama Theatre. It will be dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from Nazi invaders, the head of literature and drama department of Mogilev Regional Drama Theatre Julia Pepler told.
More than 6.3 thousand of the region's veterans of the Great Patriotic War will be paid lump sum benefits timed to the 70th anniversary of Belarus liberation from the Nazi invaders. It will make more than Br28.4 milliards, the head of Mogilev region executive committee's department of pensions and benefits Vera Shlapakova told.
At 3 p.m., May 8 the symbolic Memory and Fame Book will be handed to the delegation of Slavgorod district at "Rodina" cinema theatre at Bykhov. The ceremony is held within the frameworks of the regional action "With Love to Veterans". The solemn ceremony will be followed by a charitable action; the money raised will be transferred to the account of local veterans' organisation.
Great Patriotic War's veterans will get financial support in connection with the 70th anniversary of liberating Belarus from German-fascist invaders. The respective decree №54 "On Providing One-time Financial Support" was signed by the head of the state Alexander Lukashenko on 29 January, the press service of the Belarusian leader told.
