In 2016 the libraries of Mogilev region will promote a book culture. New technologies are to assist specialists to achieve the target.
July 2015 saw a new book “Echo of the Great War in Eastern Belarus” by Belarusian historian and writer Nikolai Borisenko (1914-1918). The book tells about the living conditions of local people and refugees, about hospital trains, field hospitals of that time.
Famous TV presenters, historians, sculptors will recite to Mogilevers extracts from their popular books. The event will be held at Mogilev timeclub "Cherdak" on May 22, the coordinator of the project, TV presenter of Mogilev TV and Radio Company Seda Kasparova told.
Klimovichi district library held the presentation of the book "Citizens of Klimovichi - participants of Stalingradskaya battle". The sixth edition of the local historian, member of the Union of Writers of Belarus Alexei Kozhemyako was published on his own nickel.
The book of memoirs compiled by participants and eyewitnesses of the Great Patriotic War was published by Mogilev State University of Food Technologies. The information was provided by the head of humanities Yury Bubnov.

Two new additions were added to the funds of Mogilev Region Library named after V.I.Lenin. It was sign of gratitude from Ekaterinburg's eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church for the assistance of specialists of Belarusian and local history department in searching for information about priestly martyr Sergyi Uvitski.
The book “Football Mogilev region” will be issued at the end of May. It took three years to create the book. It will contain the full information about football in Mogilev region – from the founders to the nowadays’ high league teams.
The Central Marx Library in Mogilev opened a travelling reading hall. The name of the hall is “Summer under a book umbrella”. The hall suggests the residents to read books in the open air. The project lasts till the end of August.
July, 26 Mogilev Regional Lenin Library held the presentation of the book of poems and songs “Evolutionary Tango” by Boris Vaikhansky, a classic of Belarusian and Russian author song.
Maria Poguzhelskaya, a citizen of Mogilev district, owns the Psalter dated by 1906. This ancient edition she inherited from her grandmother.
Dribin district committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and district library have initiated collecting books for children’s homes, orphanages and low-income families. It is held within the charitable action “Share the source of knowledge with others”.
Mogilev History Museum is going to buy original edition of the Statute of the Great Duchy of Lithuania dated by 1588 from a private collector from Moscow. The museum has already started to raise charity money.
Collected memoirs of participants or eyewitnesses of the Great Patriotic War will be published by Mogilev State University of Food Technologies. The memoirs have been collected by University students and teachers. The book will consist of a number of touching and heroic stories and will have the circulation of 100 copies.
Week of Books for Children and Youth is held in Mogilev on March 24-31, - the correspondent of the site was told by Nadezhda Kravtsova, a head of marketing department of Central City Library named after K. Marx.
