Belarus to combat corruption

The Prosecutor General's Office summed up the public discussion of the draft of the law “About corruption combat”. The public discussion received 300 responses and letters dealing with corruption combat. Most questions were about the necessity of more responsibility for corruption crimes.

More than Br188 mln restituted to the region's budget following investigations of 146 corruption offences. The attached goods make up Br 2 bln, the head of Mogilev region's department of the Investigating Committee of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Rakusov told during the press-conference.

In 2012 Mogilev region showed a decrease in corruption crime for 40%

In 2012 Mogilev region registered 209 corruption crimes. It is 39.7% less comparing with 2011. The information is provided by Oleg Pimashkov, the acting prosecutor of Mogilev region.

Most corruption crimes registered in Mogilev region are in construction sphere

The target made by Petr Rudnik, the head of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee – to activate combating corruption.
