Two bronze medals were added to Belarus medal count at the European Under-23 Wrestling Championships held in Walbrzych, Poland. This time winners' podium was reached by Vanessa Kolodinskaya and Zalina Sidakova representing Mogilev region.
Three athletes from Mogilev region aim at partaking at the European Athletics Championship: Oxana Menkova (hammer throwing), Alexei Tsapick (triple jump), and Pavel Lyzhkin (shot put). In general, 29 athletes make up the nationalteam.
The final of the European Junior Modern Pentathlon Championships finished in Minsk. lya Polozkov from Mogilev was a success and won a silver medal. The team's gold was claimed by Belarusian Team consisting of Ilya Polozkov, Denis Zelenkevich and Kirill Kasyanik. Silver was taken by Russian Team, and bronze went to Germany Team.
The women’s handball national team of Belarus started preparing for the matches of the qualifying tournament of Europe-2014 Championship. Belarusian handball players will compete with the Romanians. The first match of Belarus’ and Romania’s national teams takes place June 11 in Mogilev. June 15 the teams will meet in Baia Mare.
Mogilev “Olympiets” Sports Complex starts a qualifying event of Europe’s Volleyball Championship among women’s national teams. The event will gather women athletes from Belarus, Finland, Turkey, and Denmark.

Belarusian volleyball players beat Lithuanian sportswomen at the second tour of the junior volleyball Euro qualification in Mogilev’s Sports Complex “Olympiets”. The results of three sets are 3:0 (25:19, 25:22, 25:16).
Europe championship qualifying match between Belarus and Azerbaijan handball teams will be held at “Olimpiets” sports complex on March 25. The teams will compete for getting two more points. The match starts at 3 p.m.
It should be noted that at the third match of a qualifying group the Belarusians won the Azerbaijanis 31:21 (15:9).
On October 23 “Olimpiets” sports complex hosts Europe championship – 2012 handball qualifying match, Belarus vs Hungary. It is to become the second European qualifying match of our sportsmen. Today they play with Germany. The rest matches will take place in March-June of the next year.
For three days our handball girls competed to enter the finals of the European Championship in the Sports Complex “Olympiets”. “The fight” began on March, 25 with the National Slavonic team. Belarusian team was one goal away from the victory. On Saturday Belarusian girls competed with the National Swedish team. The results were alike - 14:23.
