By August 29 Mogilev region harvested 1m 2 thousand tons grain. The information is provided by Victor Geidel, chairman of the regional agriculture trade union committee.
Judging from recent results, Mogilev region has moved from fighting for harvest to highly efficient harvesting, assured Mogilev region executive committee's chairman Petr Rudnik during celebration ceremony of this year's first harvester team (JSC "Alexandriiskoe", Shklov district) that had harvested 1 thousand tonnes of grain.
Since the beginning of harvesting campaign Mogilev region traffic police has been implementing a number of preventive measures in the field of agriculture. The information was provided by chief traffic police officer of motor licencing and inspection department of Mogilev region executive committee Victor Midiko.
Mogilev region’s agricultural organisations have received Br6 bln from the regional budget for technical maintenance of grain harvesters, deputy head of agriculture and food supplies committee of Mogilev region executive committee Nikolai Antusov told.
More than 20,000 combine operators of Mogilev region will be provided with free main courses during harvesting campaign, the head of the region’s committee of agricultural workers’ trade union Gennady Shpakovski informed.
Mogilev region completed harvesting grain and legume crops, governor Petr Rudnik told at today’s enlarged planning meeting. According to the region’s head, agricultural organisations harvested 1,285,000 tonnes of grain; the average crop yield made 40.3 centers per hectare, while the Republic’s average crop yield was 37.6 centers per ha.
More than 3 thous. tonnes of grain was harvested by harvester combine team of Victor Milto from JSC “Alexandriiskoe” of Shklov district. Denis Latypov, driver from “Alexandriiskoe”, transported more than 4 thousand tonnes of grain.
By August, 13 Mogilev region harvested 83% of grain crops and legumes, having gathered 1,079,000 tonnes of crops. The average crop yield in the region made 38.7 centers per hectare; Shklov, Krugloe and Mogilev districts are among the leaders.
