Mogilev region plans to promote hunting tourism by providing new services and price reduction, Mogilev region Deputies Council decided at the last sitting. According to the director general of the forestry unitary enterprise Vladimir Raevsky, hunting sites create favourable conditions to promote the respective type of tourism. There are 13 hunting complexes open for tourists in the region.
Bykhov district is developing hunting tourism. Only the complex “Dom Ohotnika” (“Hunter’s House”) in Gamarnya village held about a dozen tours for foreigners. The business is very profitable for the forestry.
Hunting complexes of Mogilev region reported a profit of Br574 mln from hunting tours for foreign tourists organised in 2010. It made up a half of the complexes’ whole profit.
