Mogilev region will join European Immunization Week that takes place April 25-30.
Specialists recommend to immunize against flu in October - November, the head of the Republican scientific and practical centre for epidemiology and microbiology Natalia Gribkova told.
Every year Mogilev region registers 10-20 cases of hepatitis A. The epidemic process of hepatitis A is at its minimum – under 1 case for every thousand people. The information is provided by Alla Bulai, deputy chief sanitarian of Mogilev region.
Anti-flu immunization will be held at more than 1.6 thousand organisations of Mogilev region. The information was provided at Mogilev region centre of hygiene, epidemiology and public health.
Mogilev region has fulfilled the target for a mass anti-flu vaccination of population. More than 35% of the region’s citizens have been immunized before the epidemic season starts.
Out of 376,700 people having been immunized in Mogilev region by 26 November, 97,400 are children. Last year 332,000 people (30% of the population) protected themselves against influenza.
Budget cost immunization against influenza among children and adults of risk groups started in Mogilev, specialists of Mogilev regional centre of hygiene, epidemiology and public health informed.
