Mogilev started preparations for the festival “Animayovka-2014” with selection of films. The selection process is headed by the commission of experts. The historic animated film Lost Town of Switez (Poland) wins the Grand-Prix of the 16th International Animated Film Festival Aminaevka-2013. The festival was held in Mogilev on September 16-18. A total of 194 animated films from 27 countries were presented at the festival; 71 of them competed for prizes.

70 percent of “Animaevka -2012” competitive animation films appeal to grown-ups. 155 animation films from 21 countries applied to take part in the fest. But the international selection panel chose only 83 cartoons representing 18 countries.

Films from 19 countries on programme of “Animaevka-2012” contest

Mogilev will host International Animation Film Festival “Animaevka-2012” on September 10-15. Animators from 19 countries have already sent applications for participating in the contest. Cartoons from Finland, China, Taiwan, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland will partake in the contest for the first time. 76 animation films have been chosen out for “Animaevka-2012” of 112 that were sent.

Mogilev arranged a casting to choose the hosts of the festival “Animayovka-2012”. The applicants are 65 boys and girls of 5-15 years old.
The requirements to the applicants are good actor and communication skills. They are asked to recite a poem, to present themselves and communicate with the audience.

The XV International “Animayovka-2012” is held on September, 10-15.
