A self-help group for parents of disabled children opened at the social adaptation and rehabilitation department of Krichev district public centre of social service. “Now it will be easier for parents to get advice and consultation, as well as psychological assistance”, the department’s head Tatiana Kochetkova told.

New social allowance for the disabled

The disabled will be granted a new social allowance for buying nappies. The respective Decree №41 will come into force on April 1, 2012.

“This product innovation is designed for transportation of passengers in invalid carriages; they may be installed in dwelling houses, underground railways, medical establishments, - Anatoly Tjukov remarked.

Rehabilitation centre for visually impaired people will open in Mogilev on July 1. Specialists of the centre will teach how to manage different life situations without one’s help: from everyday’s cooking and walking in streets to direct banking and computing.
