Four Mogilev museums were made special mention at the First National Forum "Museums of Belarus into Third Millennium" held in Grodno. 150 museums from all over Belarus partook in the Forum. Mogilev region was represented by 18 museums.
Mogilev Regional Local History Museum got a unique collection of adornments dated back to the II-V cc. A.D. The collection consisting of 27 rare adornments was bought from a private collector from Molodechno. There are very few adornments of the kind in Belarus. Metal fibulas of different forms are of special interest.
February, 23 Mogilev Regional Local History Museum opens the exhibition of felt goods by a Swedish artist Gunilla Sjoberg. The name of the exhibition is “Aspects of Life”. Stephan Ericsson, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Swedish Kingdom to Belarus, told about it during his meeting with Valery Malashko, the deputy chief of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.
