1 November, the newspaper of the district town "Vesnik Cherykaushchyny" celebrates its 95th birthday.The periodocal was established on November 1, 1919 and was called "Communist's Voice". Its first editor was Lensky-Darmenev. On 5 May 1931 the newspaper was renamed into "Satsiyalistychnaya Peramoga".

Awarding ceremony of “Zolotaya Lira” VIII National Contest of Printed Media was held on May 4 at the National Library of Belarus. This year four newspapers represented Mogilev region at the contest: “Mogilevskie Vedomosti”, “Babruiskae Zhytsio”, “Asipovitski Krai”, “Trudovaya Slava”.
