Andrei Pranevich and Vladimir Izotov from Belarus have won gold medals at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Belarusian swimmer Igor Boki has claimed his fourth champion title at the XVth Summer Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Belarusian sportsmen won 9 medals, two of them were taken by Mogilev region’s sportsmen - Darya Naumova and VadimStreltsov.
Solemn meeting with medalists of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro Vadim Streltsov and Daria Naumova will be held in Minsk on August 18, a correspondent of the site was told by director of Mogilev region NOC department Vadim Panchenko.
The meeting is organised by Mogilev region NOC department together with sports and tourism office of Mogilev region executive committee.
On August 13 Darya Naumova from Bobrusik won the first medal of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro for the Belarusian team; the athlete lifted a combined 258kg. Bronze was taken by Lidia Valentina Peres (Spain); she made 257 kg. Gold was won by Lim John Sim from Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
The international federation of equestrian sport issued the rating of the countries included in the zone group “Central, Eastern Europe and Central Asia”. The rating represents triathlon sportsmen that got an Olympic license-2016.
Pavel Lyzhin from Mogilev region won an Olympic license in track and field athletics. January 22-23 the national contest was held at the sports complex “Olimpiets”. The information is provided by the regional Olympic reserve centre for track and field athletics and games. Pavel Lyzhin put the shot for 20.70 m.
Today Mogilev awarded the best athletes and coaches of 2015. They were handed diplomas and valuable gifts by the chairman of Mogilev region executive committee Vladimir Domanevsky.

He won gold in 100m Butterfly on 31 August, silver in 50m Freestyle on 1 September, gold in 100m Freestyle on 2 September, gold in the 100m Backstroke on 3 September, broke the world record in the 400m Freestyle on 4 September, and was the best in the 200m Medley on 7 September.
Alexander and Andrei Bogdanovich, Olympic champions-2008 from Bobruisk, won the silver in London Olympics-2012 in the men's C2 1000m with the result of 3 min 35,206.Their medal was the tenth one in the medal collection of Belarusian national team. Brothers have made their Olympic choice in favour of Bobruisk Children and Youth’s Sports School of Olympic Reserve.

Oxana Menkova, an Olympic champion of Beijing-2008, set a new Belarus record for hammer throwing (78.69 m) during International track-and-field championship held in Minsk to commemorate the Belarusian athletes. This year it has been the second time when the sportswoman renewed the national record.

Senior coach of Belarus Olympic football team Georgy Kondratiev announced members of the national team to partake in tournament in Toulon held on May 23- June 1.
There are 20 football players on the list, including those from Bobruisk “Belshina” team – Mikhail Gordeichuck (a halfback), Alexander Perepechko (a halfback) and Maxim Skavysh (a forward).
Oxana Menkova from Mogilev, Olympic champion of 2008, set new Belarus’ record in hammer throwing. At the tournament for the prizes of the USSR Merited Coach Eugenie Shukevich Oxana Menkova threw the hummer to 78.19 m. This is the world’s best result of the season.
