Mogilev region cut down the number of smokers from 35% to 33.5%. The information is provided by Svetlana Nechai, chief physician of the regional centre of hygiene, epidemiology and public health.
According to specialists, 1.5% represent certain people and their health. More and more women and young people give up smoking.
In 2014 the number of drug related crimes in Mogilev region increased more than by 50%. The problem does exist in spite of the measures undertaken to control and stabilize the situation, the first deputy head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Mogilev region executive committee - head of criminal militia Alexander Vasiliev told during the meeting held at the Belarusian-Russian University within the frameworks of the drug-fighting action.
Mogilev region will vaccinate over 8, 000 young people aged 20-29 against measles. The information is provided by the Public Healthcare Department of Mogilev Regional executive Committee.
Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations fined 8,000 houseowners according to results of furnaces’ inspection in private houses of the region. The inspection will be on till November 28.

About 40% of mites brought for examining in Mogilev region during spring – summer period are borreliosis carriers. Epidemiologists say that this year mites bite people more often than in 2010.
During the year the number of these insects’ victims has increased 1.5-fold. In spring – summer period about 2,000 mites have been brought for examining.
