Sambo wrestlers from Mogilev region won three medals at the National Championship for the prizes of the President of Belarus. The information is provided by the President’s Sports Club.
Young athletes from Mogilev region won gold, silver and bronze medals at Sambo Europe Championship among Youth and Juniors held in Novi Sad (Serbia).
Gold medal was claimed by Anfisa Kopaeva (under 48 kg). Silver medal went to Angelina Starolavnikova (under 44 kg). Vladislav Burdz won bronze medal among boys (under 57 kg).
Moscow hosted “Memorial Anatoly Kharlampiev” Sambo World Cup Competitions. This year the oldest and the most prestigious tournament was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Andrei Kazusenok from Bobruisk won the World Sambo Cup for the prizes of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev. The event took place in Almaty.

The students of Bobruisk State Olympic Reserve College showed their best. Kristina Zhukovets won a silver medal (weight class of 68 kg), Anna Maksimova won a bronze medal (weight class of 44 kg).
Julia Borisik from Bobruisk won golden medal at sambo world championship (above 80 kg weight class). J. Borisik’s coaches are Vadim and Nonna Zhukovets. By the way, Nonna Zhukovets, a judge of the international category, was acknowledged one of the world’s ten best arbitrators. There were a total of 27 competitions, both for men and women.
