Skaters from Mogilev region as members of the national team won a bronze medal at the juniors’ World Championship.
Mogilev offers more than 50 skating rinks, deputy chair of education, sports and tourism office of the city executive committee Dmitry Radkov told a correspondent of the site.
January 9-10 Minsk holds the European Skating Championship. It is the first time Belarus will hold the event listed by the International Skating Union season 2015/2016.
Mogilev region's skating rinks started operating. One hundred and thirty-three rinks welcome amateurs of skating and ice-hockey. By the way, 65 of them will be illuminated in the evenings.
Last week Mogilev started making skating-rinks and hockey grounds. The date of putting them into operation is still unknown since it depends on weather conditions.
Mogilev’s ice skaters won the Championship of Belarus in sprint all-round. The sports event took place on December, 23-24 at the complex “Minsk-Arena”, Minsk City. The information is provided by Mogilev’s sports school №4.
Roman Homchenko won a bronze medal in a 500-meter distance. Artyom Chaban made two new records: in group B in a 500-meter distance and in all-round events.
