Nikita Tsmyg from Mogilev won a golden medal at the international swimming contest that took place in Kranj (Slovenia) March 26-27. He became the best in 100-m distance race and took the second place in 200-m race on back.

Swimming has been banned in three place of recreation of Mogilev region – “Forshtadt” beach №3 in Bobruisk, town beaches in Shklov and Klimovichi. “252 water samples were collected within a week, and 12 of them didn’t comply with the norms”, - the source in the regional center of hygiene, epidemiology and health protection informed.
Quintuple champion of London Paralympics - 2012 Igor Boki won in men’s 200m Freestyle at Belarus Cup championship held in Brest in memory of Boris Sivitski.
At the final stage Igor Boki defeated the participant of Olympic Games – 2012 Vladimir Zhigarev having shown 1 min. 51.58 sec. and having reached the qualification norm “B” for partaking in the World Championship – 2013 that will be held in Barcelona (Spain). Vladimir Zhigarev showed the result of 1 min. 53.86 sec.

He won gold in 100m Butterfly on 31 August, silver in 50m Freestyle on 1 September, gold in 100m Freestyle on 2 September, gold in the 100m Backstroke on 3 September, broke the world record in the 400m Freestyle on 4 September, and was the best in the 200m Medley on 7 September.

An eighteen-year old man was the first to finish the 100m Backstroke. This day he set the world record twice. Preliminary race brought him the result of 58.19 s to beat his record of 59.12 s. In the finals Igor considerably improved his record – 56.97 s.

Swimming is banned at 4 public leisure areas of Mogilev region. By August, 16 the list of areas included the beach on the Dnepr River in Shklov, the leisure area of Lenin Sanatorium in Bobrusik, beaches №№1, 2 in Bobruisk. Dina Ermolenko says that water samples taken in these areas do not correspond to the standards microbiologically.
The Mogilev’s Creativity Centre welcomed 200 young sportsmen from Mogilev, Vitebsk and Gomel regions to take part in the swimming competition. The Open Regional Swimming Contest had three age groups – sportsmen born in 1999 and younger.

• the recreation zone by the River of Dolzhanka, Dolgoye village, Klichev district;
April, 7 the village of Aleksandriya is to host a swimming match of two teams – Shklov and Mogilev ones. The information is provided by Yuliya Randitskaya, a swimming coach of Shklov District Physical Culture Centre. 80 young sportsmen are expected to take part in the competition.
